Date: 30 May 2025
Description: Open Educational Resource (OER) developed as part of the second training offer by the UNITA Teaching and Learning Centres (May–June 2025), aimed at strengthening university teaching staff competencies in internationalisation.
Authors: Aneider Iza Erviti, Paloma Fernández-Rasines, Julia Itziar Amorena.
Summary: This video is part of the first session of the course Recipes to Promote Teaching and Learning in an International Environment, delivered by Aneider Iza Erviti and Paloma Fernández-Rasines, professors at the Public University of Navarre (UPNA). In this first session, the video introduces the contemporary concept of internationalisation in higher education as a strategic and comprehensive process that cuts across teaching, research, and institutional engagement.
It emphasises that internationalisation today is no longer limited to promoting mobility, but rather involves embedding global, intercultural and multilingual dimensions at all levels of university life. The session also presents the Internationalisation for All approach, which calls for ensuring that all students, regardless of their ability to travel, can benefit from an internationally oriented learning experience. It explores key practices such as Internationalisation at Home, hybrid learning formats, virtual collaborative learning, and curriculum diversification as essential tools for building a more inclusive, sustainable, and globally relevant higher education system.
